Lunch on the Beach? New Year’s Day?

So, another year draws to a close, and time to reflect on 2022, which has been the first year unblemished by COVID in what seems like an age, which has been quite cathartic in many ways. With the end of testing, masks and quarantine, travel has proved a joy.

And so to 2023, and, as is becoming a tradition, we joined Steph and Plum in their beautiful flat in Nice – the perfect long weekend escape. I love staying with Steph & Plum – they are the perfect and most generous hosts, but significantly, they LOVE shopping! No trip to Nice would be complete without a quick look (and this time a purchase) in Chanel and LV…..

The other benefit of Nice is, of course, New Year’s Eve on the beach! Bottle of fizz in hand we headed to the Promenade des Anglais, and trois, deux, un…. Bonne Année!
