Bovey Castle is our English escape and a real treat. We love the beautiful rooms, pool and spa, and cocktail bar, and the dogs come too!!
With its winding roads littered with sleepy sheep roaming across the heather covered hills, it is impossible to do anything other than submit to the gentle pace of Dartmoor.
Our routine is simple – a leisurely but substantial breakfast, a bracing walk across the moors, cream tea, swim and spa, dinner in the local pub. Repeat. Repeat.
The immaculate castle, manicured grounds and golf course all make Bovey so special, and clichéd as it sounds, I am always reminded of the “moon and stars” proverb when I see this statue!
